more than a run through.: February 2012

so today had its ups and downs....

starting with the "ups"... we had a great time hanging outside in the sun this afternoon.

owen loved watching delilah run around and feeling the grass on his bare feet

i should also add, that when a kid grows, his head does too. (who knew?!)

so it's a good thing i found this one hat that has elastic to stretch over o's big dome :)

then, after playing outside, owen had fun splashing in the kitchen sink

during an impromptu sink "bath."

now, the major "down" of the day.

i should start by saying that owen LOVES his baths and is quite rambunctious in the bathtub

(e.g., he loves loves loves to splash)

so during owen's real bath this evening he slipped while standing at the side of the tub and hit his chin,

which caused him to bite down on his tongue HARD.

it was pretty scary at first because there was a lot of blood

and we couldn't see how bad the bite was.

poor guy was really upset and we didn't know whether we should take him to urgent care.

luckily, after about 10 minutes the bleeding slowed and he started to calm down.

by the end of the night he was back to his usual self,

but we caught a glimpse of his poor little tongue and ouch! let's just say it ain't pretty! :(

ps - as of today i've been with my firm two years... how time flies!
